We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to establish and oversee the Quality Management System in our new food production facility in Bartlett, IL. This role ensures compliance with SQF standards, GMP regulations, and food safety requirements, while managing quality assurance processes across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Quality Management System to meet SQF, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for quality and food safety programs.
- Supervise quality control throughout the production process.
- Oversee facility sanitation and hygiene practices.
- Manage internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Identify and resolve quality issues in production.
- Handle nonconformities, corrective actions, and customer complaints.
- Lead and support the quality team in daily operations.
- Coordinate with external laboratories for product testing and compliance.
- Train employees on GMP, food safety, and quality standards.
- Represent the company during regulatory inspections and audits.
Requirements
- Degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Experience in quality management within food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of SQF, GMP, and food safety regulations.
- Experience in sanitation and disinfection processes.
- Leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
- English proficiency (B2 or higher).
- Proficiency in MS Office.
